The person who coined the phrase "ignorance
is bliss" had to have found his insight and wisdom through
many projects. I say this becuase I am always amazed at how ignorant
I am at the start of any project. Even when I spend time researching
my objectives there is always something that just seems to pop
up and remind me that I don't know everything about anything
It may sound strange but I usually like when a project
proves me ignorant. This gives me a great chance to learn and,
perhaps, to pass on the knowledge gained from my mistakes and
misconceptions.
The oppotunity to pass on my hard gained knowledge
is one of the biggest motivators in making this web site. As always,
my ignorance is another reason. (Doing it is allowing me to reduce
my ignorance about web sites, HTML, PHP, Photoshop, Macromedia,
and many other areas of knowledge.)
As you read this you have the opportunity to both
laugh at, and learn from, my mistakes. Hopefully this will enable
you to meet some future challenge armed with a bit more knowledge
or at least a positive outlook. |
